Was married in 2010, bought our house in 2014, in 2016 she got me out of the house with domestic violence allegations, next day she got her ex-husband in our house. I had to rent a house, and have been able to put on a new living home for my daughter and me.
I haven’t been paying the mortgage, cuz I can afford to pay my rental and the marital house.
The question is:
WILL I LOSE MY SHARE ON THE EQUITY FOR NOT CONTRIBUTING TO THE MORTGAGE, AND CAN I PAY A CERTAIN AMOUNT FOR EVERY MONTH I HAVEN’T BEEN AT THE MARITAL HOME AFTER THE SEPARATION AND STILL BE ENTITLE OF MY HALF OF THE EQUITY?
This is important for me to know cuz I been working hard, have save some money and wonder if I should spended in a new attorney or invested in the mortgage, not to lose my share.
