What exactly is an uncontested divorce???

I keep hearing this is the best possible route but what exactly does this entail.  My husband – or soon to be ex husband –  and I are not fighting – in fact we are amicable right now.  We have loosely spoken of our upcoming arrangement and agreed on just about every assets and how we will divide things.  Does this mean we are ready for an uncontested divorce???

Sounds like you just need to get the papers drawn up and filed.  I think an uncontested divorce is so rare so you are clearly one of the lucky ones!
