Debbie Shawn is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. She has a Masters of Social Work degree from Wilfred Laurier University and a Bachelor of Social Work degree from McMaster University. As well, Debbie managed a family business for many years, gaining expertise in financial management.
With over 30 years of professional experience, Debbie then founded Divorce Matters – Preparing for an Organized Divorce. Debbie’s social work background and business experience have given her the unique ability to work with people at this very stressful time in their lives. Debbie has developed checklists, summary sheets and information modules that are designed to help you be your own best advocate throughout your Separation and Divorce process. She will work directly with you, helping organize your paperwork and financial affairs to ensure that you and your divorce team have the best opportunity to protect your financial future, saving you money as you learn to work efficiently with your Separation and Divorce team.
Debbie is on the Board of the Canadian Association of Women Executives and Entrepreneurs, and is a member of the Professional Organizers of Canada.
