Since her call to the Bar in 1993, Ms. Eklove’s practice has focused exclusively on family law, encompassing nearly every aspect of the field. After more than 10 years with a prominent Bay Street family law firm, Ms. Eklove relocated her practice to York Region in 2005. Ms. Eklove has extensive experience resolving high conflict, acrimonious family law cases. She is also trained to act for clients in the collaborative family law process. Ms. Eklove’s straightforward and practical approach to family law promotes and facilitates favorable outcomes for her clients expeditiously and on a cost effective basis.
Ms. Eklove has authored and co-authored numerous papers and precedent materials on family law topics, and was instrumental in authoring a comprehensive separation agreement precedent developed for use by the Family Law Bar.
She is a Member of the Ontario Bar Association, the York Region Bar Association, the York Region Collaborative Family Law Practice Group, the Canadian Bar Association and the Women’s Law Association of Ontario.
Ms. Eklove holds an Honors Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from McGill University and obtained her LLB (Cum Laude) from the University of Ottawa in 1991. She is the mother of four children.
