Harold Niman

Harold is involved in all aspects of claims arising from separation and divorce. He has extensive trial experience and has appeared at all levels of court, including the Supreme Court of Canada. Harold specializes in complex financial matters, custody litigation, and mobility cases. He has been appointed a Dispute Resolution Officer by the Family Law Division of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.

Harold has participated in numerous panels, seminars, lectures and continuing education programs. He is a former instructor and lecturer for the Ontario Bar Admission course, and has also been involved in the Intensive Family Law and Trial Practice programs at Osgoode Hall Law School. Harold has written articles for several legal periodicals and has published educational materials for both the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Canadian Bar Association. He is also the Editor and co-author of a textbook, Evidence in Family Law. He is a recipient of the Continuing Legal Education Long-Term Achievement Award from the Law Society of Upper Canada.

Harold is an Associate Editor of the Reports of Family Law, and acted as co-chair of the Six Minute Family Lawyer and the Ten Minute Family Law Judge. In the past, he has served as co-chair and editor of Special Lectures for the Law Society of Upper Canada, and has also chaired several Trial Advocacy Programs for the Law Society. Harold is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.
