Kim Tanzer

Kim began her yoga practice at 16. At the time, she had little patience and found it troubling that her mind kept going when her body was still. Deep down, however, she knew that integrating this physical, and meditative mindfulness practice into her life would be foundational to her health.

In California, Kim mentored under, and taught with, senior Iyengar yoga teacher, Elise Browning Miller. While traveling with Elise, Kim taught at yoga retreats and numerous intensives such as Yoga Journal conventions. During this time, Kim studied with several renown teachers: Rodney Yee, Shiva Rea, Seane Corne, Richard Freeman and Baron Baptiste.

Kim also studied mindfulness meditation with Thich Nhat Hanh whose work inspired Dr Jon Kabat-Zinn to develop the MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) program now taught worldwide.
