So many of our readers punish themselves for breaking up their family.
Worried their children will never be normal and will suffer extreme anxieties as a result of the divorce.
We understand you would prefer keeping your family together and we totally get that a non-divorced family is easier to navigate.
But don’t be fooled into suffering guilt.
Every family – divorced or not – has issues and anxieties.
We are sure you’d be hard pressed to find a family that isn’t suffering some type of disfunction.
Stop being so hard on yourself.
There is no proof that kids of divorced families are in worse shape than those whose families are together.
And often you form even more solid foundations with your kids as a result of deeper, more focused attention.
So wash away your guilt – your kids will be fine.
Just focus on being a good parent and spending quality time with them.
And cut yourself some slack.
